Rock Spring Youth

Rock Spring Youth Ministry Exists:

  • to SHARE Christ with non-believing students,
  • to provide FELLOWSHIP with other Christians,
  • to help youth GROW in their faith,
  • to enable them to do MINISTRY,
  • and to encourage them to WORSHIP God through their lifestyle.

These guidelines have been created in order to:

  • help us stay focused on Christ
  • keep us from being a stumbling block to others

1.  Each member of the youth group should show proper respect to the leaders and to each other. “Show proper respect to everyone. . . .”  1 Peter 2:17

2.  Our actions and language should be appropriate for a Christian. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. . . .”  Colossians 3:17

3.  Both sexes should be modest and honoring to God in the way that they dress. “I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety . . . with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.” 1 Timothy 2:9

4.  Youth should not hang out at the church, including the youth room, unless there is an adult present. “‘Everything is permissible for me’ –  but not everything is beneficial.” 1 Corinthians 6:12

5.  Our church should be a place where people feel welcome, encouraged and loved. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

6.  There should not be any PDA among youth couples (public display of affection). “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity. . . .” Ephesians 5:3

7.  Respect should be given to the church property and each person should help in keeping it clean and neat. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”  Colossians 3:23
